Electrical gremlins

Post by FullSnowCrash »

As of lately, my dash gauges and my fan blower will suddenly quit working. I take off the battery ground, replace it and it works fine until it decided to do it again. Has anyone else experience this? It is a 1969 Ford F100 Ranger with full instrumentation.

Do you're tail lights stop working too? Mine did the same thing. It was that green ground wire near the back of the frame.

There should be a ground wire from the back of the engine to the firewall
is that there?

Yes, but I will replace it with a longer one that leads directly to the block. I had swapped a I6 into it. The one on it now is from the v8 and will only reach the rocker panel cover bolt. Will try new strap and post results.
