Electrical gremlins
As of lately, my dash gauges and my fan blower will suddenly quit working. I take off the battery ground, replace it and it works fine until it decided to do it again. Has anyone else experience this? It is a 1969 Ford F100 Ranger with full instrumentation.
1969 F100 Ranger 2WD 3 speed manual. Swapped 360 for 300I6.

Do you're tail lights stop working too? Mine did the same thing. It was that green ground wire near the back of the frame.

There should be a ground wire from the back of the engine to the firewall

Yes, but I will replace it with a longer one that leads directly to the block. I had swapped a I6 into it. The one on it now is from the v8 and will only reach the rocker panel cover bolt. Will try new strap and post results.cep62 wrote:There should be a ground wire from the back of the engine to the firewall
