Ford size .180" bullet connectors

Anyone know where to get the Ford standard bullet connectors? Autozone doesn't have them. I did a search and found an archive thread from 2005 asking the same question and apparently they are .180" size, but no source was listed.

I need to plug into some of the factory wiring and would rather not hack the harness apart.

I found some at a NAPA store, I think they were marked as .176.

I have look high and low on the net and could not find any. I decided to salvage as many connectors when at pick-n-pulls and used them. Soldering the wires then using shrink wrap would give a clean (OEM) look. I don't care for crimped connectors.

Went to NAPA and found them, thanks! I had to go through their connector catalog (so much for "NAPA know how") and find them myself. They had them hiding on a shelf in the back corner.

They fit decent...I oblonged the bullet just a bit with pliers to make it snug. They are indeed .176" vs. the Ford .180".

They are around 20 cents each.

I am collecting fittings from pick and pulls for use. I will solder them and use heat shrink tubing to sealing them. The connections will look OEM and fit much better.

I gave up on MS and I'm using Firefox. No problems on home computer. At work I use MS Explorer and do not have problems!

I always saved harnesses and connectors from trucks I parted out. If previous owner(s) hacked up the harness bad, I use it for parts. The factory connectors fit best, but I have seen some crimp-on jobs whose bullet fits pretty good.

I am against only crimping connectors, as corrosion becomes an issue here in the midwest. I solder and shrink wrap almost all connections I make. If soldering is not possible, then I grease them up to keep water out! I also grease the electrical connectors as I have seen corrosion cause problems there as well - battery posts, bullet connectors, light bulb sockets, headlight terminals, all of them get a little bit of protection. Also helps them come apart easier if necessary later on.

Found some 0.180 bullet terminals here:

Not exactly cheap but supposed to be the right size. Both male and female in 14 to 22 gauge. And with integral heat shrink in 14 to 16 gauge. Depending on quantity and gender, $0.18 to $0.40 each for the "normal" ones and $0.77 to $1.50 EACH for the ones with heat shrink.

Apparently, all online orders are shipped for $6.50.

Looks like the prices include shipping. But, don't count on that until someone actually places an order.
