truck wont start

so i put wireing in from another 67 no cuts in the wireing and i got everything checked and everything is new so it all works but it seems like the battery dies in seconds so idk what is going on

have the battery charged and tested. alos not all wiring harnesses will intermix with each other. if you did any harness swapping. if it all came from the same truck then it will only have the problems the other truk may have had.

battery was tested it is good and the only harnesses i dident swap out is the driver side engine compartment and the rear lights

What do you mean by the battery dieing in seconds?

If the truck will start, then not run when key is in run chances are you have a bad ignition switch.

ok update the battery is fine its just the truck trys to start but is slugish like it doesent have enough power to start all conection are good and tight

Check out your starter it may need rebuilt or replaced

there not enough power getting to the starter if the battery and starter are good. it has to be dirty connections or the starter is hot. try jump starting it. i had trouble with a battery and cables edns that looked clean. but were just sligthly grey. and i recleaned them and they finally started working good again.

I had the same problem and it ended up being the positive wire going from the solenoid to the starter. Even with a new battery, new starter, new solenoid, new negative wire, new positive from the battery to the solenoid it acted like a weak battery, but then I changed the positive wire from the solenoid to the starter and everything was fine. :hw:
