Re: truck wont start
have the battery charged and tested. alos not all wiring harnesses will intermix with each other. if you did any harness swapping. if it all came from the same truck then it will only have the problems the other truk may have had.

Re: truck wont start
What do you mean by the battery dieing in seconds?
If the truck will start, then not run when key is in run chances are you have a bad ignition switch.

Re: truck wont start
there not enough power getting to the starter if the battery and starter are good. it has to be dirty connections or the starter is hot. try jump starting it. i had trouble with a battery and cables edns that looked clean. but were just sligthly grey. and i recleaned them and they finally started working good again.

Re: truck wont start
I had the same problem and it ended up being the positive wire going from the solenoid to the starter. Even with a new battery, new starter, new solenoid, new negative wire, new positive from the battery to the solenoid it acted like a weak battery, but then I changed the positive wire from the solenoid to the starter and everything was fine.
