new Turn signal switch
I put a brand spanking new turn signal switch in my 70 LWB. I matched up the new wires with the old wires on the connector at the end of the wiring. But my turn signals dont work. Anyone have this problem before?

Re: new Turn signal switch
what was wrong before yo ureplaced the switch. the power to the turn signal switch is wire 810 in the diagrams. http://www.fordification.com/tech/wirin ... master.jpg
that wire goes through the brake light switch and gets its power from the hazard flasher can which gets is power from the fuse box.

Re: new Turn signal switch
I went ahead and replaced the turn signal switch when I rebuilt the column. The old switchs canceler arms had broken off so I figured I might as well replace the switch while I am in the column. The turn signals were working fine before I replaced the switch.

take the wheel off and push down on the ts arms and see what happens. have someone look at the lights when you do this. most aftermarket tss are junk and don't make the proper connections. i went through this on a 66 f100.

Re: new Turn signal switch
I doubt you have the same problem as I had but for what its worth I just spent almost 2 years trying to get my turn signals to work and it turned our being a short in my fuse box.

I tried what ezernut said and notyhing changed. But my dad noticed that there was a clicking noise under the hood . We traced it to what I assume is a voltage regulator next to the solenoid. It was clicking Is it possible its gone bad and that is my issue?

Re: new Turn signal switch
I found I had two wires reversed. So now my left signals work but my rights do not.

Re: new Turn signal switch
Replaced my switch a few weeks ago and had the same problem your having. Ended up being a short in the fuse box. Removed lower right fuse and sanded down the connections, replaced with new fuse and everything works now. Worth a shot

Re: new Turn signal switch
I just found out from Fordman that the regulator next to the solenoid is the horn relay. Mine did the same thing and eventually began to be the source of my battery going dead. My horns are missing so I unplugged the solenoid and solved the problem (for the battery draw)67 ford f100s rule wrote:I tried what ezernut said and notyhing changed.
