Hey guys. I ordered door jamb switches for my truck (link below) and I'm having a hard time finding the proper pin connector that fits. Anyone have a link or recommendation of what to get?

Notice the list of vehicles that that switch fits? Junk yard trip and get a bunch because the little clips break way too easily.

I'm referring to the actual terminal connector that fits in the 2 female holes. A standard bullet connector won't fit, and a GM/Ford terminal from Autozone won't either.

Easiest thing to do would be to find a similar switch that you CAN find the harness to and modify your bracket to fit that switch. Maybe something from a 1st generation Mustang. There are a lot of aftermarket repros for Mustangs.

Which is exactly what I plan to do. Or you can do as Ranchero50 suggested and harvest that part of the wiring harness from wrecks in the local salvage yard.

Randy's on the right path here folks. After years of chasing door switch issues I finally switched the simple two wire harness out at the door to the dentside era, (I had several of these at one time-they are still easiuly obtained via boneyard as well as several places repoing the switches including DC) which will last you 50 years without ever going back to:sargentrs » Fri May 06, 2016 6:59 pm

In agreement with what the other said. Ford made a plug to fit this switches and used it on all of that generation vehicle. The dentside version used the next generation of connectors that was more robust. You may want to try Digikey Electronics in MN. They have zillions of different pins and connectors. I bought male and female bullet connectors that have an extended back end so I can push the connector into the mating unit... pushing on the metal rather than the wire. Slip a piece of 1/4" ID shrink tubing on the end, heat and it looks good much like the original Ford connectors. Will mate to the original stuff since it the correct .180 diameter. Also bought from them the right angle slip on connector used for the oil sender. Paid more for the shipping than the quantity I bought. Good luck.
