Brown and red wire??

Post by ironhorse2022 »

Hi all,

Looking at my firewall from the engine side, there is a grommet with red and brown wires coming thru it. It's just to the left of the MC booster. It's above the grommet that contains the wires for the engine sending units.

My brown wire is cut and red one has an open white connector on it. Can any one tell me what these two wires are for?

Thanks

I did look at the schematic but I guess I'm no good at interpreting then. If the firewall was depicted maybe I could figure it out. I'll see if I can trace the wires inside the cab. Maybe they'll go to something familiar.

I believe they go to the door. There is a round plate there that is held in by 2 screws. I think it has something to do with the temperature as the other end goes to the pollution stuff on the back of the motor. I hope this help you.
