So my brake lights have been troubling me now for awhile. I have replaced fuses, brake switch, headlight switch and turn signal switch. All lights work even the brake lights but not correctly.
When I attach the wires to the brake light switch I see sparks as the second ones makes contact. Once both connectors are on the brake lights turn on. If I press the pedal they stay on but once I began to release the pedal they turn off. So doing the exact opposite of what I need. So I'm figuring somewhere along the way...maybe with the turn signal switch Ive done = something backwards to create this problem..
Any ideas?
Thanks
Chris

Re: Brake lights backwards
It sounds like you've got a hot wire feeding all the time after the brake switch. You're going to have to retrace all your wires to see where it's coming from.

Re: Brake lights backwards
Never mind. It seems our getting jammed on the brake pedal. Like I'm missing a piece. If the spring gets pushed it does not completely reset. Seems I should have a spacer or something In between the the brake pedal and the switch.
