Months ago, I had gotten my gauges to finally work in my 1972 F100. Yesterday however, as I was driving I noticed that the fuel and temp gauge suddenly dropped. I toyed with it a bit and in doing so, I apparently crossed some contacts where the wiring harness plugs into the back of the Instrument panel. The fuel sending connection to that wire (orange) was crossed with the one next to it. This sent 15v through the orange wire.
I've corrected this issue, but now I'm getting nothing when I hook everything up. The orange wire to the fuel sender is getting nothing as far as volts are concerned and it looks like the temp gauge is only getting .6 - .8. Also, when I ground the fuel sending wire the needle does not move. Fuses are intact.
My suspicion is that I blew out my IPVR when the connections got crossed. I want to run it past you guys before I go and buy another.
Thoughts?

Re: Gauge Problems again
Ok, so I pulled my fuel tank sending unit and opened it up. It's fried. Ugh.
Does anyone know if 12 volts would also fry a new temperature sending unit?
