As the title says I'm not getting power to my brake light switch. I was attempting to re install a cigarette light the P/O had originally installed yesterday. They (I) were pulling power from the brake light switch. All I was essentially doing was rehooking everything back up. At some point I lost power to the cigarette lighter and the brake light switch. I looked at the fuse box and the 20a cig lighter fuse was blown. So I replaced it. Still nothing.
After a bit of research...
I tested the main wire (red) that is coming out the original harness that goes to the brakelight switch and there is no power to it. Turn signals still work fine. Tail lights light up. Just no power for the brake light switch. Is there a fuse somewhere along the line? Or could I have messed up the turn signal switch somehow? (It's my understanding this is where the brake light wire is coming from...correct me if I'm wrong).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Remove and check the fuse block.

I took a wire brush to the fuse bays and tested each one with a multimeter. I don't get a reading from the highlighted fuse. Ideas?bluef250 wrote:Remove and check the fuse block.
BTW - This isn't my fuse block, so I don't have a red wire coming off of it.
