Attaching the horn

Post by 91Bear »

I have a low horn on my F-100 and bought a corresponding hi horn a while back. I want to attach the new one to the radiator support but I can't figure out how to get a bolt in there, or what size it is. I was going to take the old one off to check but I was afraid the bolt would drop inside the support and I wouldn't be able to get it out.

Any ideas?

OK, does anyone know where I can get a U-nut and bolt to attach another horn - and how I get the U-nut in the radiator support?

I can't picture where the hole is, but U nuts either slide over a flat edge,
or there is a double hole to slide the nut into one to line up with the other hole.
If you can't reach it a long magnet and long screwdriver can help.
Any "good "parts store should have them as they are common for body shops.
I think you need a 5/16 size.
