Electric fan help...

Post by cole71 »

I have an electric fan I'm trying to wire up.

The kit I bought has a relay, for the temp thermostat that's screwed into the intake.

Basically, all I need is a switched 12v power source. What is a good wire to splice into? Also, would it hurt if power is sent to it with the key in the accessory position as well?

I've got mine wired to the coil pin on the ignition switch. There shouldn't be a problem wiring it to the accessory pin either. It will just be able to turn on when the ignition is in accessory as well.

Ok, thanks. How long have you had yours wired that way? Any problems?

Believe I found a wire that will work. It's coming off the driver side and is a open bullet connector that has power. Thanks everyone.
