I have been doing some searching on here and I believe the IPVR is bad on my truck(1970 f-100 302). The speedometer works but the alt, fuel, temp, and oil gauges aren't working. Should that be the issue? If so how difficult is it to replace?
I pulled the gauge bezel out some, didn't disconnect anything to pull it all the way out yet, but I can see the IPVR. Not sure how it is mounted to the cluster.
Should this be my first step in the troubleshooting process?

Re: gauges not working
its a good start. But since you didn't mention it, make sure all of the sending units are hooked up. Many times over the years all of those gauges get disconnected from the sending unit.
The IPVR is mounted to the cluster with one screw, that is it. It has a connection to it that looks just like a 9v battery.
