AMP Meter Wiring

I have read all the Technical Articles about this issue they're great BUT I'm trying to install it with adding more wiring here there everywhere I can splice into wires under the dash and do the samething as running more wires into the engine compartment... So my question are in the 65AMP wiring diagram it shows a 3 wire regulator mine is a 4 wire regulator so wire number 904 goes to a field relay in the 65AMP wiring diagram, does it go to the samething on the 4 wire regulator only it's internal or does it matter because in the 12 pin Cluster hook up I'm going from a SIP Cluster to FIP Cluster so I had to remove 1 pin to put the blinker relay back into the circuit with out cutting wires. Okay the pin that I took out of the connector was the RED wire going to the AMP Meter.. So if I took the 904 wire which is Green/Red Stripe and leave it in the connector were it is then it will plug into the YELLOW wire on the AMP Meter then I just have to splice into one of the wires coming from the starter solinoid and be done BUT I just want to run this by some of you experts...

Compare both the ammeter and idiot light wiring diagrams to see what's different. I don't think it's as simple as you posted but it's been a while since I've played with one.
