Hello guys
I have no front park light or right rear brake/turn signal and I do have all other turn signals, both taillights, and left rear Brake I tested the black/white stripe wire at the switch which is supposed to go to my front park lights and there was no power then when I jumped the hot across from the brown wire (taillights) they worked so I tried my extra switch with the same result and for the right brake/turn signal I tested the green wire where it plugs into the column with blinker on no power does this mean my signal switch is bad? eventhough all my other blinkers work fine and do you have any ideas on the front park lights? I did also jump the left blinker wire to the right taillight and it did blink
Thanks
John

Re: Park lights, Brake lights,Turn signal help
John,
Your troubleshooting sounds dead on, (agreed the switch is bad) causing the RR brake to not work.
I'd look at harness "J" connection here, (it exits the cab near the steering column if memory serves me right) and check for power there leaving the cab. Chances are the harness there needs cleaned up.

Thanks for the I info I now feel stupid on one part of my problem after talking with a friend he informed me that the front park lights will not be on with the headlights they are only on on the first click of the switch and when you turn on your lights they go off so after hearing this he is right and I don't have a problem in that area anymore I have never claimed to be smart but now I am flat embarassed

There's a simple mod that will keep the parking lights on with the headlights for the 67-69's, it's around here somewhere...68shortbedinmo wrote:Thanks for the I info I now feel stupid on one part of my problem after talking with a friend he informed me that the front park lights will not be on with the headlights they are only on on the first click of the switch and when you turn on your lights they go off so after hearing this he is right and I don't have a problem in that area anymore I have never claimed to be smart but now I am flat embarassed

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
