Just the lights for your instrument cluster-or what all was affected?
Does your truck have gauges or "idiot lights"?

Just read this post:

What a great test ! I saw my dash fuel gauge wake up and perform correctly and now know the sending unit in the tank must be examined, repaired or replaced. Thanks for the info.
