brake lights not working

Post by kevs250 »

hey guys, got a 1970 f-250 with break lights not working. Got 12v on one side at the stop lamp switch at the brake pedal and a good fuse. When engaging the emergency lights, i stuck some pliers to close the circuit and the brake lights come on like they are suppose too and when disengaging the stop lam switch the lights flash like they are suppose too....Im confused :hmm:
Thanks guys!

If the bulbs are good and there's power at the brake light switch the turn signal switch is the culprit.

Thanks Alex,
Would this be the case if my turn signals are working?
