390Nut headlight harness

Post by 91Bear »

I don't want to get into all the politics about his harnesses but I bought one from him and misplaced the instructions. Does anyone have a copy they could scan or photocopy and send to me?

I might have a copy of mine somewhere, but they are really easy to install. If you lay it out, it can only hook up one way. You have your ground and battery hookup on the left side. The harness starts here and then goes towards the drivers side of the truck where there will be two plugs that branch off of the harness (from memory, I believe they are at the passenger side headlight area). These run down to the passenger side headlight area. You need to unplug your stock wiring from your headlight, and then plug your headlight into one of these plugs, and you stock wiring into the 2nd plug. The harness then continues across the top of your radiator support to the drivers side headlight where you again unplug your headlight from the stock wiring. You then plug this headlight into the harness.

From what I recall, it is the passenger side headlight that has 2 plugs which is one for the headlight and one for the stock harness (which detects when you turn the headlights on and off). If my memory fails me, then the drivers side has the 2 plugs. But you will see it when you lay your harness out. There are only 5 spots to hook up. Positive and ground, 2 headlights, and 1 spot for the stock headlight harness to plug into. Thats it. If you still need the paper instructions, I will look for them, but if you lay the harness out in front of your truck with what I explained, you will see exactly what I am talking about. All you need are a few zip ties or clips to hold the harness to your radiator support along the way.
