67 Q's....wire's going nowhere

Post by 67mann »

1st one is fairly simple.....are the parking lamps supposed to go off when the headlights are on :? THX Jeff and I'm gonna leave them like that
Heres what I 've done..swapped a harness from my 67250cs to a 67f100 that I just bought....why you ask  I found several bare wires(in main harness)rubbing against the inside of the dash(although what worked..worked)and aluminum foil wadded up in the fuse box , a toggle switch to run(1speed)the fan motor,a jumper cable from solenoid back to the fuse box, etc. So the switch is made...my truck starts and runs :woohoo: ,the heater is back to original (bezel/cable)working condition, turn signals work and obviously..headlights(hi&lo)work but not in conjuction with parking lamps..whereras they did before the switch.

I've got some other issues to work out...hazzards come on,but don't flash :? There working now with the instrument panel hooked up
No tailights,brakelights....no plug or wires for back up(Np435)I've got power to the plugs, but have some work to do and I figured out which wires go for the reverse and have a connector coming from Napa
Xtra wiring and switches for non exsisting auxiliary tank,Some kinda electrical kickdown :hmm: 45yrs...what all has this truck been through.....I'll take pic's if ya wanna see I didn't take any pic's but did get all the wiring removed
 that today goes well and I get some other issues straightened out.....today went well and now I've got a few other Q's
According to this Diagram or should I say refering to.... http://www.fordification.com/tech/wirin ... ghts02.jpg
It shows the black wire from the heater coming back to the wiper switch :? ... I don't have it hooked up right now and heater works fine :?
Next...Theres a Blk/white stripe(spade connector) coming back out of the (inside)J block.....where does it go :?
I have an extra Brown(prong style)wire coming from(inside)G block....what's this for :?
Last Question....spade connections in fuse box.....what are they or can they be used for...TIA jerry

Yes, they go off when you turn the headlight on. There is a jumper you can add at the switch across two terminals to enable them to stay on but I'm not sure which terminals. Maybe someone else can pip in here with that info.

Jerry,
So sorry I missed this thread. Lot going on, (changing jobs just to start with).
Did you find the switch on top of the 435 for the back-up lights, (if memory serves me right)? :hmm:
