in my '68, the gas gauge is acting funny (ill describe in a sec) i did an ohm check of the old sender and it was faulty. got a new one from LMC and the ohms check out fine, but the guage still acts the same. the gound for the sendering unit is good, and the wire from the sending unit to the dash is good with .01ohms resistance.
bascially what its doing is not reading the correct level. when the tank is full it reads past full, but the guage dosent move at all until it reaches approx. 1/4 a tank (guessing by mileage). and when the guage reads 1/2, you better be pulling into a gas station.
- the other guages wouldnt read anything, then would swing up to max at once. but i installed a triple guage pod soon after that took care of the water temp and oilo pressure. but id still like to know my fuel level and not count on miles.
any help is greatly appreciated.

here is the fuel tank tech page. it says alot about fuel gauge and sender testing. to me since you have a new sender. you could have either a bad gauge or the ipvr needs adjusting on the back of the instrument panel. http://www.fordification.com/tech/fuel- ... -units.htm
