Post by jh60ford »

My fiance's dad is restoring his 1972 ford and just got it painted. he is looking for a plastic drop in liner for the bed to clean up the look. Any help on where to find one????

:hmm:, Not sure that they offer one that will drop in without modification at least not one that is listed to fit our trucks. You may be able to get one for a newer vehicle with a similar bed size and wheel-well location and get it to work. With that said if it were me I'd buy a product like Herculiner and roll it on myself, because plastic liners collect moisture under them and eventually let your bed rust . Herculiner can be bought at AutoZone for less that $50 and it works and looks good IMO! My dad has it in his work-truck (He's a general contractor so it gets some abuse) and it has been holding up for a couple years now 8). Also if Fiance's dad had enough money in the budget to Rhino-line his bed that would be a good solution as well but Rhino-lining gets a bit more pricey than Herculiner, and you'd have to find a local place that does Rhino-lining to do it. Here's a few links to pass on to your soon to be father in law:
