Belongs to my 82 year old neighbor down the street, he has 3 modern Harleys and rides aleast one daily down to have coffee.
This 1947 HD was running when he parked it some 20 yrs ago,was last inspected in 1980.
caused by prompting from some of his biker buddies he has drug it out and decided to freshin it up a bit ... Saty Tune, I will try to follow up on this one.
Edit someone tell me if they work now

You need a better image host than yahoo mail for the pictures. You should be able to save them to your desktop and attach them to this thread.

It has the original biased ply tires front and rear, the oil rings are stickie but show some compression. He said the tranny was bone dry ,and stuck in gear. He's afraid the re-chroming is gonna far exceed the original cost of the scoot... but his heart is in and he's gonna giv'er ago. I try to follow up in a bit.

He need not be afraid of that as I'd say there is little doubt that that will be the case, he should move to the acceptance phase...

Gonna be a nice scoot, although it definitely has personality now.

I think I need a newer one (I have way too many progects...)
