1968 F-250 Ignition wiring diagram

Newbie here.Hi,my name is Bill.Site seems to be informative and helpfull. I have a 1968 F-250 Camper Special. I had a problem recently,got in turned the key and smoke came out from under the dash.Thats the bad news.Good news is only one wire fried before i disconected the battery.So now I have been looking for a wiring diagram for the ignition.I have 3 shop manuals none show a diagram.Can you direct me as to where I may find one?

Ok so I found a wire harness at a local bone yard. The org.wiring har.out of my truck has two part no's. These are the wire har.from under the dash.
MINE BONE YARDS
C8TB 14401 BH C8TB 14401 BJ
C8TB 14444 C C8TB 14444 D

Both wire harnesses are out of 1968 F250's.What I want to know is the ending letters in the part numbers make a difference in the connectors as to what they go to?

the dummy light harness has a flat 2 wire plug connector that is black coming out of the firewall on the passenger side. the gauge harness will have a square black 4 wire plug connector. the last numbers on a ford part number can mean alot. that should be the differences. that is all i can tell you abotu part numbers and what yuor trying to do. soemone with a master parts catalog should be able to tell you the correcct application for the junkyard harness. the following people have them as far as i know. hawkrod fordification 70_f100. and maybe 4x4x4crewcab.

i just checked out my other gauge harness sitting here it is the exact same numbers you got from the junkyard. so you have a gauges cluster harness C8TB 14401 bj you can swap that whole tuckl harness into your truck with the alt wirign and then put in a gauge cluster in your dash. instead of half gauges and half dummy lights.

Well my cluster has dummy lights but not being used anyways.When I got the truck from my stepdad(2nd owner) he installed oil press. and ampmeter gauges.Thanks for the info.

all your preinstalled smoke came out you will have to reinstall the smoke before anything will work.

Let me know if you find out which wire burned. My truck did the same thing it turned out to be the resister wire going to the coil. Also are you talking about the harness on the cluster itself or the harness going to the gauge cluster.
