Emergency Flasher Switch
I need to replace the the emergency flasher switch on my 68. I've looked in Mac's, NPD, and Carpenter and all I find is stuff for 70-72. Will that work?
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!

Re: Emergency Flasher Switch
The flasher switch for your '68 should be in the glovebox mounted on a small bracket. The '70-'72 version mounts in the dash panel. The later ones will obviously not be original in appearance, but they'll plug into the existing wiring and work just fine. If you plan to mount it in the dash like an original 70-'72 switch, you'll probably have to slit some of the wiring loom wrap, to allow the wiring to stretch over, but that should be the only 'mod' necessary.
However, those '67-'69 switches are listed on E-bay all the time, and would allow you to keep the original-style switch in your '68. There isn't one listed now that I could find, but last week there were three of them.

Re: Emergency Flasher Switch
the 67-69 switches are gettign harder to come by. the 70-72 switches can be used in place of the older switch. but i bet they will magically pop up on ebay again. every time this subject comes up. they start showing up on ebay all over again.

Here's what it looks like, not a very good pic but should let you know what I'm looking for.
