just rebuilt carb on 1970 360 need to know how to adjust kickdown rod for transmission :? :hmm: :help:
1970 f-250 camper special, 360, holley P/N 0-80457S (electric choke) 4v carburetor, edelbrock performer390 intake. I love my truck like I love my women.

There should be a screw in the carb linkage that you can adjust the length of. After about 1/2 - 2/3 throttle the kickdown linkage should hit the back of that screw pushing the rod back.

Put a B&M kit in it and just manually shift it :D

thanks for the pic sideoilerfe have another one for you. i have an electric choke on it and i read online that you have to block a port in the carb i have picture. is it true

Your question is not clear. What are you trying to accomplish? Vacuum ports are there for a reason. I see no reason to epoxy anything unless you are running a smog carburetor on a non smog engine.

Have you tried one? I had 2 C6s with Fully manual and Automatic operation and 1 Turbo 400. Needed them on the track while I was rebuilding my Top Loader 4spd.

i can think of no purpose for a street truck to have a manual kit put in when it already has one in it. just move the shifter down to second when you want the kickdown to operate or to pass someone. no offence dragon.

The B&M kit will allow you to shift anytime no matter what the governor says. I hit 1st at 110 once by accident and before the engine hit 5000 I had it in neutral.
