wiper delay

Post by michael69 »

Is there any other wiper delay switches other than the dent sides that is a direct fit in our trucks? I have access to lot of older ford cars but no trucks.

early 80's trucks from my understanding will work with moving one wire for the washer pump ....edit..ack i saw u only have cars
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

No guarantee but you might look at a 1971 MONTEGO... only car that I found on a cross reference on an online parts store...

I'm not "Brand Loyal" Ford-Chevy-Dodge-Toyota I have them all, one even cross mixed...
If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

michael69,

The 70'-71' Ranchero is the same I believe too, (I've got both delays on a bench and the plugs look the same).
If the Ranchero is the same, then the Torino's from the sdame years would also work.

The car harness usually comes with as plastic IN in the middle of the connector.

The truck plugs don't.

So pictured is the truck unit with the center void , and the car is the same but the center filled in? Did I get it right?

The store sells these units for around 40-45.00 that isnt a kings ransome. Compared to multiple scavenger hunts finding a truck that still has one.

I know its the hunt not the kill that matters. But are the over the counter unit's as good?
