
If you can't find a nice-looking momentary-on switch, you can always use a push-button starter switch.
With a toggle switch, it's possible to leave it on and forget it, and you'll eventually drain the battery.

Sounds like you have a problem with either the voltage regulator or alternator (would guess the alternator) as the voltage should be around 13.5V+ minimum at idle and when reved up it should not go above 14.5V.kaptnkaos wrote:With the head lights off, at idle it's just above 12v, when I rev the engine, it goes to 14+/-.
