Anyone familiar with this steering setup

I have a 1970 F250 highboy am I not familiar with the steering setup nor can’t find any information about. Anyone know anything about this setup. TIA

Yes, Ford's push-pull system of power steering. I have seen these predominantly on the 73' - 76ish? 4x4 trucks. Before they went into the integrated power steering box. I honestly can't tell you if that was an available option for 4x4's in 1970. The consensus generally is that 67-72 4x4 trucks didn't have power steering as an option. however the same opinion says no 67-72 f250 4x4 was available with a automatic transmission and we know that to be false say a few documented examples that were indeed ordered with an automatic. So maybe it is correct or it was converted using 73' on up to whenever parts to get power steering. Either way, power steering is power steering. Most people would probably prefer the integrated power steering box setup over the push-pull ram due to potential leak points. I think fluid leaks in general would be the biggest complaint about the PP. Parts are out there. pumps are going to be easy to get. even if the lines aren't listed by application, taking a old one off and having a replacement made really isn't that big of a deal. Hardest thing to find would be the ram or parts for the ram but I have seen them listed online before, so they are not unobtanium.
