I managed to find a used operable speedo/odo for my 68. Before i put it in I thought maybe I should lube the gears in it and wondered what would be best.
Anybody know?

Re: best speedo / odometer lube?
Pretty sure most transmissions have the speedo gears lubed by tranny oil.
Now the cable itself needs to be lubricated with Kable-Ease or similar product to keep it from whipping inside the cable housing.
If there is transmission fluid inside the speedo cable housing then the gear adapter seal is leaking and needs to be fixed/replaced.
