67 f100 flasher ?

Post by bpetry »

I have had an issue with turn signals and flashers . The wiring harness has never been touched in this truck actually nothing has ever been touched or changed . I took the cluster out and blinkers started working . It's the old big heavy duty unit . then it all quit working . I attached a round unit and it started working again . problem is key is off . I am sure somebody in here has run into this before . what did you do to fix it? I realize something is shorting but what ? Turn signal indicators aren't working either .
Thanks in advance for the help.

Its kind of hard to understand exactly what the problem is but are you sure the hazard switch in the glovebox is off? It will work independently of the ignition switch.

My "67 does that too ,
My original flasher was loud enough to get in the habit of always shutting them off. :D

The switch in the glove box is off . I will keep messing with it until I figure it out.
