Help with starter wiring and 6g alternator
So I'm getting to the wiring portion of my carb'd 4.6 swap and need an electrician. After a whole night of research, the only thing I have learned is that an 03 Crown Vic alternator goes to the PCM for something g like a variable output. I have the plug in and battery/starter cables from the Vic. I don't have a PCM and asking if anyone here knows how to wire it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link CEP but I don't think it helped me much. It did make me think of trying a different alternator though. Haha

Re: Help with starter wiring and 6g alternator
Use a different ALT. The crown Vic ALT requires interaction from PCM. It WILL charge, but only in "emergency" mode, and voltage will be low at around 13.4V. Normal voltage for late Ford ALTs is around 14.5V. Earlier 4.6/5.4 alts (3G or 6G w/grey regulator) can be used with very little wiring modification.
