You only need 1 extra rear corner and they do have the screw holes in them already. Just cut them so they are square and they will fit over each side of the trim where the fork is. Then screw it down and it will hold the ends in place and make nice caps for the end of the center trim.

Here is an uncut rear corner:
Image

And here is one of the caps I cut from my extra corner piece. I took these at night in the darkness, so the picture quality is not the greatest... But it is the black trim on the black headliner, not the chrome trim under it...
Image

Hopefully those help explain what I was talking about.

Ive been working on the truck for a few hours each night after work and have been getting small things done... Got some parts prepped and painted that I needed such as my power steering bracket, alternator brackets, windshield sprayers, etc..... Just little things that I have put off cleaning and painting. Then I went ahead and started buttoning up some of the engine components and other little things. Nothing really instantly noticeable, but things that needed to get done. Even the little things take time and its funny how much time goes by while doing that stuff...

Anyway, none of it is truly picture worthy, but no one reads the words I type anyway and everyone just looks at pictures, so figured I would take some and post them anyway to make the thread update at least semi-interesting..

Got my alternator brackets painted and installed my 3G alternator. Made the 2ga cables for it and installed a megafuse. So the 3G is all installed and ready to hook to the wiring once I do that. Ignore the wires just laying around. Once I do the rest of the wiring, I will connect everything and try and make it all look more appealing with powerbraid and proper routing...
Image

Got the power steering bracket painted and installed. My new power steering pump and hoses should be here on Monday according to UPS, so that install should be up next week.
Image

Got another 90 and ran my AC drain down under the truck and away from the firewall...
Image

Drilled 2 holes in the lip above the firewall and zip tied my AC line up so it is out of the way of the motor and looks a little better (since I cant make it invisible...)
Image

And one of the more time consuming jobs... I went ahead and replaced each visible bolt in the truck one by one with brand new bolts. The old bolts were original and covered in dirt, grime, rust, and many layers of paint. I bought a complete bolt kit for a bumpside and have been replacing bolts as needed. Ignore the dust.. Even with the truck under a cover when I am not working on it, it is getting dirtier and dirtier.
Image

Like I said, nothing major, but a bunch of little jobs that are time consuming and needed to get done. I hope to wire the truck this weekend, so we will see how that goes. I won't finish, but I hope to get most of it done.

I love the pictures! I didn't notice, but did you write anything about the project? LOL, just kidding! I have really enjoyed the progress on your crew. How was the new bolt set, were the bolts very similar to the stock bolts with the correct markings on the head?

The bolt kit I got was off an eBay vendor called eastcoastbolts. It was this set: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1306509982

I contemplated buying the set from Totally Stainless, but their kit was $70 more plus shipping with only a few extra types of bolts included. I decided to go with the cheaper set for $200 since I am not doing a completely stock truck. However, the bolts that were shipped were VERY close to the original bolts and while the head markings are not all exact, they are very close. All of the bolts shipped were high quality and fit perfectly. As it is, I am probably only using half of the bolts that were shipped. A lot of the stock bolts I am leaving in place as they are in decent shape and either hidden, or are freshly painted with no marks on them. The bolts that I wanted to replace were the ugly marked up bolts in plain sight.

So I probably overspent, but I like that they were all sorted in marked bags and it was easier to just go this route.

A few more hours after work today, and a few more things off the list... More "little" things, but progress all the same.

Got the Super Cooler radiator installed. I was worried that there would not be enough room with the AC condenser there, but no problems!!
Image

Here you can see that the condenser sits right up against the radiator for a perfect fit!
Image

Got the crankshaft pulley and the fan installed as well
Image

Figured that while I was at it, I might as well install both of my horns and my radiator overflow
Image

I also went ahead and installed my windshield washer sprayers and hose lines. Going to hold off on the pump and reservoir until I get the Power Steering pump and lines installed.
Image

I even installed the factory head crusher...
Image

And since the progress is putting me and my truck in a happy mood, I decided it was time to deck out the beast in some bling. So I got out the jewelry box and laid it on...

Proudly representing a brand new name tag...
Image

The hood badges I restored... (had to get the flag in there for effect!!)
Image

The NOS Custom Cab emblems
Image

And just because... some 460 emblems in tribute (and same location) to the 390 emblems the beast used to wear...
Image

A backed off shot showing the beast wearing some of its bling...
Image

I am taking tomorrow off of work giving me a 3 day weekend, so I am going to get started on the wiring tomorrow and see how far I can get with it. :D

Nothing much to update today. I went out to the garage this morning and pulled my wiring out with every intention of starting it today. When I went to get my wiring, I needed to move my shift linkage and some tranny lines which were on the shelf in front of it. Then my ADD kicked in and I decided to mess with the transmission plumbing first. I spent time cleaning and painting a trans cooler that I now decided I will not be using, and cleaned and painted some hard fuel lines that I now decided I will not be using. One thing led to another and I spent the entire day working on the transmission and looking for parts that should have been bagged up with other parts. Well, that particular bag decided to disappear over the last 2 years and of course, those were the parts I needed to get my transmission buttoned up. So off to the auto parts store I go to get what I need. While there, I end up picking up a new fuel pump, braided fuel line and fittings, and a bunch of other stuff that I wanted but probably didnt really need. A couple hundred dollars later, I head back home and realize that the entire day had gotten away from me and I was losing light. So I will have to finish the tranny, fuel lines, and may as well do the radiator while I am at it tomorrow. I really want to get on the wiring, but I think subconsciously, I am avoiding it...

The only thing I got done today that was worth taking a picture of was getting my rear plate and lamp on the truck.
Image

Maybe tomorrow I will have some more pics.. then again, maybe not. But I hope to get a lot more done over the next 2 days than I got done today...

Well, I still haven't started on the wiring...

Spent this weekend finishing up the transmission and I now have it all connected and adjusted so I can get into every gear... For a while there, it was skipping right over reverse. Thanks to a couple calls to Bobbyford for some advice, and I was able to get it fixed. I also have the entire cooling system done now and will have the whole fuel system done tomorrow when my last 2 fittings arrive at the auto parts store.

Once the transmission was done, I was able to secure the tranny hump and finish my carpet install. So the carpet was cut and is now tucked under the firewall for good.

I also got the weatherstripping done in all 4 doors. Weatherstripping is a pain in the butt for 2 door trucks, but 4 doors was REALLY fun.

Removed my pulley and bracket from my old power steering pump to clean them and paint them so I could use them on my new pump that arrived today. The new pump and hoses arrived today and it came as bare metal. So it needed to be painted as well which puts me another day before I can install the pulley, bracket, and install them.
Image

I ordered the dentside power steering return line that uses the hard line as a cooler instead of the stock bump finned cooler. I installed the return line and I like the way it tucks down low along the drivers side fender and stays out of the way...
Image
Image

Tomorrow I should have the power steering pump together and installed. Then maybe I can start on the wiring... The way things are going, I am hoping to have the truck fired up in 2 weeks. We shall see!

More minor stuff... Got the power steering system all installed and complete now:
Image

Also got the braided fuel lines all installed along with connectors and fuel filter:
Image

Also finished installing the washer system:
Image

I measured for all three of my belts so now I know what size to buy and compiled a list of the rest of the things I need to buy next time I am at the auto parts store. Not sure if I will have time to work on the truck again until this weekend but I am pretty much out of small things to do, so the wiring is the very next thing for sure.

No photos yet, but I have been working on the wiring and have most of the cab done at this point. A few more things to finish up and then I need to do the engine bay, and the wiring to the rear.

With my new heater and AC system, the glovebox insert that they send with the system is pretty much non-existent and non-functional since it is so small. Since I am adding a 2nd fuse box and various relays, as well as a hidden power socket for my iPod hookup, I am converting the glovebox area to an electrical storage area where all of the fuses and relays will be stored. This way, when I need to change a fuse, I just open the glove box door to expose everything. The stock fuse box still remains in the original location, but everything else will be behind the glove box door. Since I have a crew cab with a center storage area in the middle of my front seat, I don't need an actual glove box anyway. :D

I will post some pictures when I am done with all of the wiring.
