starter stuck on

I have a 72 ford f250 with a 360 motor , the starter stuck on this morning even after shutting the key off it kept going till I pulled the batt cable. Im thinking the solinoid shorted out. Or should I look elsewhere??

Most likely solenoid, but to be sure. Pull the wire off the front of the solenoid that goes to the switch. If it still does it you have a bad solenoid.
If not, unplug switch and reconnect wire on solenoid and if it doesn't do it, need a new switch.
