What you want to do is sum the two signals into one mono output. I tried searching "stereo to mono converter" on Google, but I wasn't satisfied with what I found to give an adequate answer. Your best bet is to take it to a reputable car audio shop and have them build the device you need. I'm not familiar with what the going rate for their work is, but I wouldn't figure it would be too expensive. They may even have something on the shelf for your needs.

Someone sells the under dash speakers which are for 2 channel. It has dual speakers built into 1 pc. I can't remember. Might be LMC.

Generally No. If your Stereo Radio has a separate (+) positive and (-) negative wire for each channel (referred to as a Floating Ground), you will fry it if you try to connect the two channels together.timmytim wrote:Say I have a two channel radio and one 6x9 speaker to put in dash Can I take the radio (+) from channel one and (-) from channel two and hook to speaker? If, by chance, it has a (+) positive wire for each channel, but only has a single (-) negative wire that it uses for both channels (referred to as a Common Ground), then you can usually get away with connecting the single (-) negative wire to the (-) negative terminal of the speaker and connecting both (+) positive wires to the positive terminal of the speaker.
Most car stereos made after the early 1980's were the Floating Ground type. In other words, if there are more than a total of three speaker wires coming out of the unit, Do Not connect any of them together. I Hope This Helps.
