One (odd) question, do you have door switches that operate your dome light?
Also, is the fuse panel you posted the exact one you have?

No door switches for the dome. They got little switches beside them.

The photo looks exactly like mine, but the diagram said it was for 80's or so f100's. Looks the same and says the same info as the photo.

Thanks for all your help

OK, thanks. Yea, the diagrams between the years sometimes are exactly the same, sometimes not. Even in between same years they sometimes changed...

Let's eliminate the ignition switch as the problem:
1. Are these lights working;
Alt Warning Light
Oil Pressure Warning
Headlights
Parking lights?

2. Are your gauges working (not the light, but the actual gauge)?

3. Do your wipers work?
Your Blower for the heater?

Your Blower for the heater? no (just found this)

Hmmm, Sounds like your ignition switch is probably ok. We don't have the best wiring schematics for the earlier years of these trucks, so it makes it tough to diagnose. Sure wish we lived near each other, I could do a better job helping you troubleshoot.

It may be that something in your fuse panel got toasted.

You said you bypassed the fuse panel by wiring directly to the ignition switch and the turn signals and voltmeter worked, so that wire is good. Can you bypass the fuse panel to check the dome light and gauge illumination lights? That will eliminate that wiring as an issue.

If you have a test light that would be handy.

I will be unavailable through the weekend so I won't be able to do much more "remote troubleshooting" till late Sunday. Let me leave you this drawing, I have added the inner workings of the Turn Signal Switch and Ignition Switch with the incoming power marked with a red line. Start poking around for 12v and see if maybe the fuse panel is hosed up. That is about all I know of to check at this point.

Sorry for the low quality and small size, that's all the sight would let me do. I think it is readable if you zoom in. Good luck!

thbone I figured it out. After leaving the windows down last night and the window was covered with dew, figured I better get on top of the heater issue as well as the other loss of power in the panel

Finally crawled in there to figure out wth was up with the fuse panel. Printed out a bunch of wiring diagrams. Went in and checked power again, fuse looked good, but only had power on the incoming side.
The fuse cup had busted off and wasn't making enough contact to pull power to the other side of the fuse.
Thus my heater, and other fuses weren't getting power.
All is well now, and cut another 10' of extra wire out from behind the dash.

thanks for your help.
