Should I not have 12 volts when I check at start relay pos side going to ignition switch? Only get 6 volts. New relay, start switch. Had a problem didn't turn off. Resistor wire gets warm at switch. Have not found what appears to be in line fuse in resistor wire on wire diagram. Should add I did replace the pos wire from start relay to connection point where the resistor wire join to go to start switch. This was melted when it didn't turn off. Any ideas where to look next. Truck ran fine before it woukd turn off. Just bought it a month ago. Had sat for a few years.

Do you mean the starter solenoid? If so, yes you should be reading 12 volts on the positive battery cable side of the solenoid.
It's common for our solenoids to stay energized when they're subjected to lower than normal battery voltage, (which will hold the starter in-regardless of ignition switch position). I've also seen when the solenoid were not grounded properly being held into a continuous starting mode. Almost burned an old maverick of mine down to the ground one night many miles from home.
Have discoount or autozune or addvanced do a load test on your battery, (they do it for free if you take it in to them).

Thanks for the help. Replaced all ignition components runs great. Didn't find a part that I can say 100%% caused it to not turn off. Hoping its fixed!!
