red, blue, green, black mess

Post by 19674x4 »

okay, i replaced the water temp sesor with an aftermarket under dash mount one, while doing so spilled about 1/2 liter of antifreeze out the block, so here i am with my thumb in the hole stopping it from flowing out while cars are driving by and finally my mom comes and says"you need help" So she gets a bucket and puts it under the engine, then i finish tightening it down. then i went to test my light wiring job and dexcover i have no dash lights, so i either have bad fuses, or bad wiring, back to the drawing board. Also, where doe every one else put their temp guage, under the choke knob?

The big question is....does the gauge work now?

Where did you hook the gauge light's power source?

okay, now i have dash lights, i just turned it on and on they came! now i just have to re-adjust my timing, fix the choke mechanism, pull the drumn off, replace the drum, get new studs and lugs, change the master cylinder, change the rear wheel cylinders, register it and drive away............which will be awhile. Oh and boil and seal the gas tanks.

ok, i got the lights on the guages working, since there was only two spots on the fuse box for slip end connectors, and one of them was occupied by my trailer brakes, i hooked both guage light wires into one big wire and put a slip end connector on it and plugged it into the fuse box and grounded them to the dash.

Ialso got the left front wheel bearing done but have no 4wd now? I also fixed the choke mechanism, got the drum off and pulled all the brake stuff off of the right front
