You have to remember the brake pressure switch (and light circuits in general) is just a loop : ground > switch > wire > ignition (aka 12v power) > light bulb > ground ...if the switch looses pressure, it grounds out, completes the ciruit and lights the light.

The red\black wire goes from the brake switch (on the pedal) to the turn signal harness, there it splits (like a Y ) ..the end that comes out of the same side then goes on to the emergency flasher switch. It also remains the same color throughout.

like this:

Brake switch Emer-Flasher switch

Turn Signal
Ok Then I'm missing bunch more wires then. I still cant find the 2 wires and plug for the 67 steering column split plug setup and door jam wiring. I have 8 wires going into a 6 pin wire connector for the steering column.

The item in your 4th and 5th pics is the 3 spd backup light switch, mounts on the bottom end of the column. The harness for the dome light door switches was separate from the main harness from 67-69 as it was an option. I might have an extra 67 harness you could have for the shipping cost. Not 100 percent but it might be a good reference. From the first pic you posted it looks like you've got the early harness.

Will that still with a automatic C6 from a 76 truck? I'm converting to automatic from a 3spd column shift.

If you're using a stock 67-72 a/t column, you can jumper that plug and use the neutral start/ backup switch on the column with the connector under the dash or if using a tilt column you'll have to use the switch on the transmission.

Okay, Dave, it's on the way. Turns out it's in much better shape than I thought (only the dimmer switch wires cut) so you're getting a good deal. You said you had all the gauges and the pics you posted show an early harness so that's what's coming. You should be able to use this one as is.
