I took this pic for the other thread on flashers but it shows the cargo light switch location on the 69 ranger (with ac)

I have a 67 cargo light switch and indicator light. If it was a std. interior, the light mounted centered under the radio and the switch mounted under the dash, also centered under the radio. If it was a Custom cab, the light mounded in the hole where the heater controls went (in the std. cab) and the switch mounted next to it to the left. Then in 68, they went to the design above.

I guess every truck is different. My '67 Camper Special has the switch for the dual tanks in the left-hand hole. She didn't originally have a cargo light, but the PO put the light in without wiring it. I'm thinking of painting it red and wiring it to my brakes (I wouldn't use it if it wasn't already installed, but since the holes are already cut into the cab ...).

On a side comment, I find it interesting that SmoothJ69 has his flasher switch below the dash. I thought they always came in the glove box.
