had rusty floor boards on both sides and one cab support was rusted out

got all the rust taking cut out and here's the new welded in. i used seam sealer around the edges of the patch panel and sprayed the whole floor down with undercoating

while i was in the process of stripping the pickup down to bare metal i found this little piece of artwork. it was 3/4 of a inch thick!

the rest of the pictures are just from various stages in the resto

id like to show you guys some pics of how i did my cab corners.i find it faster and when you use the backing strip of metal its easier to line up the body lines and contours of the cab. not saying its the right or wrong way but its my way.

started out as this with a crease in it from a collision and some rust holes near the bottom

so i traced out the new patch panel and cut out the old piece. and punched spot welds in the cab where i wanted to put my spot welds

then out of the original cab corner i cut out made this 3 inch backing plate and welded it to the cab

then punched holes in the new patch panel and clamped her on and welded up all the spot welds
i'll post more pictures as i progress in my project
