Underhood light for Ranger XLT?

Post by moparmania »

The 1972 brochure says that the Ranger XLT came with the Convenience Group that included an underhood light. Does anyone have a picture of one and know where it is mounted and plugged into? Thanks in advance for any help.

The eyelet terminal hooks up to the hot side of the solenoid, the socket is grounded by the hood and is mercury actuated when the hood is in the open position. The black round plastic grommet protects the wire where it goes through the hood.

No, sorry. I stumbled across this one when I bought some spare hoods.
