Were radio antenna's used on a 67 F100 2wd when the trucks made at Ford?

Back then all vehicles were built with a radio as an option. Not everyone wanted or needed one especially in a work truck. Some were built with a radio and some not. So you would have to locate the factory info to see whether a particular vehicle was so equipped or not. Most if not all automotive radios of the time used a mast antenna.

My 69 came with an antenna. I found out it was bought for farm use in central Cal. Look at the cowling on the passenger side. If you don't have a rubber plug or a hole you didn't have that option. They're pretty easy to install.

All factory radios used a mast antenna but not all trucks came with radios and antennas were not installed until the vehicle was at the dealership. Ford supplied the dealers with a template to drill the hole for the antenna and it was installed during dealer prep. Hawkrod
