FUSE BOX RUST

Post by 1968Ranger »

My contacts each seem to have ample rust to inhibit a good connection with the fuse itself. Besides a little file on each, what would you folks suggest. I do not want to replace it as of yet because I want to do some other interior stuff before a complete rewire.
Any quick fixes would be appreciated.

Cleaned all the contacts. Replaced all the fuses with new and correct amperage. Deoxit seemed to loosen and clean everything very nice. No damage to the plastics as stated on the package. Blower fan now works. However now my turn signals dont. Back to the drawing board.

I've successfully disconnected the battery / then unbolted the fuse panel (two screws if memory serves me) then used a brass wire wheel with some good results before. Use a slow speed so you don't bend or break the contacts.
