post the instructions please. or give us the maker or website of the maker of the meter. i may or may not be able to help with it. but soemone else may be able to.

All amp meters need a shunt. The after market meters usually have a shunt built into the meter. The stock Ford meter in our trucks have the shunt built into the wires that come from the engine and through the firewall. Each wire has it's own shunt.
The meter will not work if there are two shunts. Most likely you will need to bypass the stock Ford shunted wires and run your own wires.
As mentioned, post the instructions.

Please post the manufacture and model of the meter you got so we can look for more info on it.
They do make a LOT of amp meters that are direct power, all the power for the whole vehicle has to go through it and don't use a shunt.

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

none of this is makeing sence lolsorry guys im kinda slow and i cant follow derections at all i got add and my mind races way to fast any way you guys know how to hook and rpm gauge up?

Haha. Yeah, I know the feeling all to well. I think I got a touch of ADD too. (Attention Deficit Disorder). And that seems like a good first step.
Step two will be to scan or type in the manufacturers install instructions.
Do those things and then we will figure out what to do next.
