Horn brushes

Post by 91Bear »

Should the local Ford dealer have these? I called one today and they had no idea what I was talking about and their parts books only went back to 1980.

Anyone got a part number?

I've also been looking for one of these. I'm hoping it will fix my horn problem. So far all I've been able to find is a picture: http://www.fordification.com/images/for ... ontact.jpg

if they're anything like the ford dealerships up here i've dealt with, they probably won't have them - getting parts for anything over 14yrs old is a real crapshoot with them
-almost every 60's ford used the same horn brush,if you can't find one try searching for one for a mustang instead of a p/u
- still got my first first car 20+yrs later : 69 f100 sorta kinda pretending its a Mercury M100 w/a 70 f350 sport custom cab (factory buckets) 67 grille with 69 ranger cooneyes 68 merc box and hood, some supercool fiberglass fenders i scored way back when, 76 f150 disc brake frontend..currently running a 90 5.0HO 4bbl/c4 auto & 3.50 posi...originally a 360/c6 f100 Ranger with dealer added towpack (incl. kelsey hays trailer brake),boxside toolbox, behind the seat stowage & belly tank...only original parts left on 'er are the frame, rear end, rear springs, and rear bumper...

Yeah, I know. It's annoying when you have to special order a little doodad like this instead of paying $2 at a parts store like you used to.
