new fuse box
I am getting ready to replace the fuse box on my 1970 camper special with a blade type fuse box. I remember that some one posted pics of how they did theirs but I can not find those pics or post. they explained everything including the switched and non switched fuses. Can any one help me?

1970 f-250 camper special, 360, holley P/N 0-80457S (electric choke) 4v carburetor, edelbrock performer390 intake. I love my truck like I love my women.

Re: new fuse box
i seem to remember that thread too. and i thought it had something to do with soem one puttign a ez wiring harness in. but i couldnt find the picture i was remembering about that thread. anyway. here is a diagram of the 70 wiring harness. http://www.fordification.com/tech/wirin ... master.jpg if you look at it and follow the wires you can hook them up the same way to your new fuse box. adding a switched power wire is easy. as you will run a jumper wire from the switched power to the fuse terminal in the box that you want to use. i may be able to help with that if you give me more info. and maybe a picturee of the fuse box you are using. the back of the box. or where the wires connect. unless soemone else knows where the thread is at.

Re: new fuse box
is 37a the power wire from the battery, and are all the fuses on the ignition so that when you turn on the key all power goes thru the fuses

Not all the stock fuses are switched (through the ignition), the brake lights, E-Flashers, dash lights, etc are not through the ignition switch.newb70f250camper wrote:is 37a the power wire from the battery, and are all the fuses on the ignition so that when you turn on the key all power goes thru the fuses

Re: new fuse box
no there is more than one main power for each fused area. the two with rivets in them are the two main power supplys for the box. the ones with the blue wires i think are just a power pass through part of the box.
