truck is starting by herself?

Post by shinerboy »

I have a 69 highboy with the 360. Went to start it yesterday and the starter stayed engauged, and the truck wouldnt shut off. I disconnected the battery and removed the ignition switch. After replacing the starter selanoid, it still sticks and cranks every time the battery cables are connected? Any ideas?

this would normally be a stuck starter relay. or bad ignition switch. but if you say you replaced those then it must be a wire crossing some place. between them.

I had that happen in my 69... it was the ignition switch! Good luck.
