My gauges work ..but barely. The only thing that works right..I hope..is the gas gauge.
The heat gauge,I put a new heat sensor on..it is hooked up, the oil gauge works but hardly moves..
I don't think I have a problem with the pump..any help?
more gauges questions...

Re: more gauges questions...
the gauges in these trucks arent that sensitive. so they barely move for the most part unless there is a problem. low oil pressure is a ford thing.you will be lucky if you ever see the alt gauge move.

you can ground the wire going to the sender. if it pegs the gauge then the gauge is fine. same with the oil and fuel gauge. the alt gauge can be tested by running two wires from a 9 volt battery to each terminal with the cluster unhooked from the truck. it will also peg one way or the other depending on which way the wires are hooked up. so that doesnt matter.
