I found one of these boxes in a 64 Falcon I bought several years ago. I didn't try it out as I pulled that engine and dropped in another that already had a Dura spark setup on it.
It looked pretty old. Had a switch for points or capacitor type on it also. Anybody ever used one?
Work good?
I wonder if it is part of the old Heathkit company that used to sell the build at home radio kits?

Re: Heathkit Ignition box
Do a little google, seems it was identical to a delta that was sold as a kit as well.

Didn't Heathkit sell computer kits too?

Not sure if Heath sold computers as kits, though they did sell a Zenith computer that I sorta think was a PC clone. They also had a batch of computer logic experiment kits.
The CD ignition setup may have been available factory-wired, as well as in kit form.
You can't download the manual anymore, but you can look at the cover:

Cheers.

Looks just like the Heathkit I have. I might give it a try one day.DuckRyder wrote:Do a little google, seems it was identical to a delta that was sold as a kit as well.

My dad built one of these as a kit and had it installed in his bump. I cant tell you if it helped or not.
